Road crossing girl
December 5, 2009
Three phases of her life :
Scene 1 : A Plus Two student

M.G.Road, Thrissur
Year : 2003
Holding the hands of her two friends who were standing on both sides of her, she ran across the road, without even following the basic lesson of road crossing First left then right(or is it the other way..chalo..it doesn’t matter). That was her way of crossing the road.On reaching the other side of the road, her friends used to tell with a relaxed tone “Ah!If you were not there, how would we cross this road..”.
She was very bold then.
Scene 2 : An Engineering graduate

Bakery Junction,Kottayam Town
Year : 2006
She along with her friends has been waiting near a zebra cross for a long time to cross the road.Vehicles were passing by, violating zebra cross rules. She was getting impatient. After sometime an apple struck her head.
Then everything was sudden. She holded her friend’s hands with her right hand and with outstretched left hands she crossed the road like a blind girl. Her friend didn’t understand anything.A blind girl was helping a normal girl to cross the road.Vehicles slowed down and the next second they were on the other side of the road. Her friend was laughing her heart out and told “Asha..You are crazy..OMG!I will never forget this road crossing experience”.
She was very crazy and bold then.
Scene 3 : A Software Engineer
Hyderabad
Year :2009
She was going for an interview. She wished to be on time for the interview. She can see the building where her interview will be held, on the opposite side of the road. But she feared whether she could make it because she has been trying to cross the road for last 15 minutes and her hope was slowly dying. An autorickshaw driver noticed her for some time, then parked his auto to a side, got out of it, came near her and told “chalo..”.He crossed the road like an expert, stopping the vehicles showing his hands and she crossed the road with him. When that middle aged autorickshaw driver took her to the other side, she had no words to thank him.She smiled with a gratitude and stood there for sometime, watching that man returning to his auto on the other side of the road and then she ran for the interview.
She was neither bold nor crazy.
Moral : I thought for a long time.Got nothing

P.S : What happened to her boldness and craziness??
